Joe Biden will go down in history as one of the greatest presidents in modern history, and Kamala Harris is poised to be our first black woman president. I couldn't be more proud of democrats today.

As you’ve heard by now, President Biden - whom I never stopped supporting - made the decision to drop out of the race after the media’s relentless attacks tanked his perceived chances. I’m still furious at the media, and this morning, I was heartbroken that his candidacy had succumbed to the pressure from the punditocracy and wealthy donors.

But then something incredible happened. He immediately endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris. Within hours, she got hundreds of endorsements that usually trickle in over the period of a year or more. She took over the Biden campaign and his $96M war chest. She has raised over $50M and counting from small-dollar donors, social media exploded with excitement, and she’s poised to get enough pledged delegates to win the nomination by end of day Wednesday. All talk of the Republican National Convention has ceased as though it never even happened. And Donald Trump is pissed that he’s wasted years of going after the Bidens with his attack dogs in congress, and that whatever Russian AI bot farms he was relying on to win are now completely useless. Saying nothing of all the made-in-China Let’s Go Brandon swag.

As John Fugelsang told me on The Daily Beans podcast this past Friday, Joe did the right thing by waiting for Trump to announce his VP pick before making the hard and selfless decision to step down as candidate for president. And donald is already running scared from having to debate Harris in September - calling for it to be hosted by Fox news and not ABC.

The right thing now includes a black woman defeating the most racist and anti-woman ticket in modern history. And with what I’ve seen today, I know we can win.

It is the most racist and anti-woman ticket in modern history. Kamala will be a terrific candidate for our party and there are so many good things with her being the one to carry the flag for us forward. We all love Joe and he’s done a Fantastic job getting us to this point. Couple things stick in my mind that will be on the plus side, obviously Kamala is 59 years old will be 60 when she takes office which will take care of the age factor. I’m sure she’ll choose a good choice for a candidate of which many have been named for the vice president slot.

The other factor obviously is the black women will come out in force which they would’ve done for Joe too, but I think the black vote will be even more positive for us as they will even get more people to get to the polls. I expect it will be like it was for Barack when he got elected in 2008. Kamala in her own right has a a lot to bring to the table as she was a successful prosecutor, Attorney General of California, US senator and now will be our candidate, I’m certain for president. She’s been at Joe’s right hand every step of the way, and just like a he was with a Barack, she was always the last person in the room when any of the big decisions were made. So she has had tremendous experience in the last 3 1/2 years being at his side, which has huge benefit.

will put aside their racism to vote for Harris after the horrors of the abortion laws, and now, proposed abolition of no fault divorce. They may agree with their menfolk publicly but in the privacy of the booth… after all, they grew up in the 20th century and most have always known in the back of their minds about escape options in worse case scenarios. I mean, even the SCOTUS’ own handmaiden seems reluctant to go full handmaiden. That’s a hopeful sign.
