Weird is the perfect insult.

First, he is weird. His habits, his personal life, his sense of culture, his ignorance of so many things (especially things necessary to be President) are all weird.
And he promotes himself as the most American of Americans, Mr. Macho every man who is also a great businessman.
Calling him weird puts a spike in the heart of why people might vote for him.
