Just breaking from Raw Story:

A man was taken into police custody in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and is being questioned after a tip led officers to somebody who matched the description of the alleged gunman and who was traveling by bus, reported CNN.

"What we've learned is pretty alarming," said correspondent Brynn Gingras. "Basically, sources are telling us that working off of a tip, police stopped someone who was traveling by bus, and they were able to recover a suppressor, a number of fake IDs, according to one official, and also that same person is believed to also have fit the same description as all of those pictures that have been dispersed…”

Police had distributed photos and videos recorded by surveillance cameras in New York City showing a man they believe is the suspect, and officers have also recovered a partial fingerprint and DNA evidence that came from items he left behind during his getaway last week.

The gunman shot and killed the 50-year-old insurance executive Wednesday morning outside a hotel in midtown Manhattan.

* Technically not an actual arrest yet, just ‘questioning’ of a detained ‘person of interest’ — but if the forensics of the recovered silencer, DNA, etc pan out, it sounds like an arrest will be forthcoming...

Somebody at a McD apparently dimed him out.

Luigi Mangione graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters in Computer Science in 2020.

You wonder if either he lost a parent/loved one to UHC brutality or if his computer science skills had anything to do with UHC's death panel algorithm.
