Dems Are Calling Trump's Bluff in Bold Strategy Shift... Good!!!

MeidasTouch Network and Ben Meiselas

Democrats are deploying a bold new strategy to hold Donald Trump accountable for his long history of empty promises and blatant lies. By crafting legislation that mirrors Trump’s campaign commitments—such as capping credit card interest rates, supporting unions, and prioritizing American workers—they’re forcing the former president to either back his own words or expose himself as the fraud he is.

MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas recently highlighted this approach, describing it as a mix of reverse psychology and legislative traps. “Trump’s campaign was a masterclass in deceit,” Meiselas said. “Now, Democrats are calling his bluff, taking his promises and saying, ‘Here, sign this.’”

This new strategy shift mirrors a plan we suggested recently on the MeidasTouch Podcast; that Democrats must stop being reactive and should instead go on the offense, putting Trump and the GOP in the defensive position of having to explain why they are against policies that most Americans support.

One example of this strategy comes from Senator Bernie Sanders, who is introducing a bill to cap credit card interest rates at 10%. The proposal directly reflects a promise Trump made during his campaign. “Great idea,” Sanders said. “Let’s see if Trump supports it.” Sanders has also been vocal about health care reform, seizing on the momentum of RFK Jr.’s “Make America Healthy Again” slogan to outline a comprehensive plan addressing the country’s broken health care system.

Still, a good idea... but not sure what the impact will be. It's not news after all that he's a serial liar.
They might call this strategy: "Promises not kept" or something along those lines, or better yet "Running from Promises."

the party the Republicans and the M$M blame for every problem in the United States.

But hey, go ahead and try this "strategy". IMHO, it won't matter because Republicans and the M$M will just say it's all the Democrat's fault things are bad.

They're going to put that pencil to work. The one they usually bring to the sword fight.

But will the message get out to the people?

Because he IS a "Democratic" Socialist. If you recall, back in 2020, when Biden won the primaries and was trying to build a larger voter base through coalitions, Bernie's campaign team were the first to unify with the Biden team, and develop policies that House (Bernie) and Senate (Biden) Dems would unite behind. And it worked.

It's still working.

This is wonderful to see. Now, can we stick with it? It may take some time but because it is Bernie I can see in a month if It is not already a done deal he will start getting growns and mumbles. Join with him, make some noise and don't stop until we get something really going and they cannot ignore . That is all we need and we DO need it, it seems like most of our elected officials are busy for sure but leave out smaller issues. THIS IS NOT SMALL, we need to keep pushing that because really, the only people who do not care about these "smaller" issues are people who already have it all. It is the smaller issue that moves mountains IMO anyway. The big issues just get done, we need to fight for this.
