wish every DUer a Happy Thanksgiving, especially those who will be alone, or maybe with a loyal dog or cat, or who may not be feeling all that well. Please do something special for yourselves. Light a candle, decorate, find some holiday music online or on the radio, get a breath of cold, fresh air. Let all that tension out of your body.

I'll be enjoying Thanksgiving here at my house with my sweet dog, checking in on DU, listening to holiday music. Nothing fancy planned but I'm really looking forward to it anyway. But I'm so appreciative my dog made it through this year. He's been told for several years now that he only has a little time left, so every day with him is a treasure.

I think 2025 will be a better year for us personally. I won’t miss the last two years of election high jinks. The fact that I will no longer participate in US news will free me from a lot of built up angst.

What’s going to happen is going to happen. We will deal with it as it comes.

Hip replacement 3 weeks ago, still in alot of pain.
Disabled.
No food tomorrow at all.
And the 3 of us have covid.
Plus the politics shit.
And I just turned 66.

: or perhaps another DUer lives close to you. Is there a service in your area for Meals on Wheels or a Salvation Army that serves meals for the Holidays? Relatives. Neighbors. Sometimes you do have to ask. As others don't know. I am very sorry for your situation. Please don't think of giving up . You are friends here. When I was 17 I tried to commit suicide. Here I am today at 69 and some days are terrible. You are strong, you are loved One year we had hot dogs for Thanksgiving. Please do not fear asking for help. If we know , we are a giving group. We will help you. As you go through this time. remember you have many friends and you are loved by us. You are a survivor.
