The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsVery thankful for Democratic Underground today
I've been a member since July 20, 2001, and I'm grateful for the people who make this one of my favorite places on the Internet. It has been a source of information, of course, but it has been a place to meet like-minded people who share similar sentiments in this bizarre place we call a world.
I'm also grateful for it being a refuge. In the next few months, that will be even more important, and I'm glad that this community exists as we all cope with the new reality that we're all facing.
Thank you all, friends.

(4,606 posts)If I could, I'd slip you a slice of the leek and Gruyère tart and smoked turkey we had here at Chez' Attila for our 'snacksgiving' munch-a-thon and we could offer a toast to all the great posters here who keep us informed and lift our spirits.

Then ?21 yrs later I was looking for more Democratic, liberal content and I suddenly remembered the name!
But, it's probably not around after all these years?
Surprise!
Lucky me, and you all. 👍
