Very thankful for Democratic Underground today

I've been a member since July 20, 2001, and I'm grateful for the people who make this one of my favorite places on the Internet. It has been a source of information, of course, but it has been a place to meet like-minded people who share similar sentiments in this bizarre place we call a world.

I'm also grateful for it being a refuge. In the next few months, that will be even more important, and I'm glad that this community exists as we all cope with the new reality that we're all facing.

If I could, I'd slip you a slice of the leek and Gruyère tart and smoked turkey we had here at Chez' Attila for our 'snacksgiving' munch-a-thon and we could offer a toast to all the great posters here who keep us informed and lift our spirits.

follow up.

Then ?21 yrs later I was looking for more Democratic, liberal content and I suddenly remembered the name!

But, it's probably not around after all these years?
