I bought the damn thing, figured I'd eat it till I got sick of it or it was gone... so far I've only eaten half of it in the last 3 days.
Usually it's a plate with ice cream or whipp...but I'm feeling savage today
How's your leftover game doin?
(I was too depressed to make the chicken or stuffing I bought, but it's good till the 5th...I might get feisty and have my thanksgiving tonight...)

(16,570 posts)I want three good days of eating leftovers but needed straight veggies yesterday. I'm feeling the pull of turkey and fixins now though.

Made a good sized dinner w/two kinds of potatoes, stuffing, 18lbs bird, gravy, cranberry chutney, and a large apple pie. We split the leftovers Thurs. night and I'm still feeding on them... most will be gone by tonight. Got some turkey meat for enchiladas in the freezer. I can't eat all that pie so I'll be sharing the rest with my neighbor.
Hope your dinner turns out great!

(14,321 posts)Do you make soup with the carcass at all? That's the one thing I miss... I just got some boneless chicken thigh. But it should feed me for a couple days

(93,662 posts)He bought the bird and the expensive stuff this year. He will definitely be making soup. I just reserve some in my freezer so that when it's time to make enchiladas, I'm ready. We cook together on occasion because some things need two people to make, at least for us, and split the leftovers. It's a nice change every once in a while.
I don't have a kitchen for serious project cooking, he does, so I get my need to cook out of my system at his place.

(14,321 posts)Maybe I can make a couple with my leftover chicken, or get some ground turkey. My ex hated my cooking and refused to eat enchiladas (sacrilege!)
I have the sauce and tortillas too....hmmmmm thanks for the idea
