I'm growing my beard back. Because of blood thinners, I have to shave with an electric razor and it takes me about 25 minutes because I have crazy stubborn facial hair.

It's been about 4 days now, and I'm coming up with trimming strategies for next week. I like to keep it close and groomed.

That first trim is always a bear, because that determines the shape going forward.

I'm always nervous about that first trim.

The heat my face generates when my facial hair gets too thick is not appealing.

I'm fortunate enough to still be working from home, so my routine is to shave every Sunday night. Let it grow all week and then repeat because that's about the extent of the facial growth I can tolerate.

I said "Oh yes! He's that hot-faced guy on DU"!

If I don't shave for a week, it's all over...full beard. Then I have to decide if I am going to keep it or shave it.

Life is so hard, True Dough.
