What is/was the strangest thing you got for Christmas?

1. Back in the mid 1980's

When I was around 10-years old, my dufus uncle gave me a tie tack/pin that was shaped like a jet that he had picked up in an airport. My mom gave him much flack.

3. Two strange gifts I got was an ironing board and an ice crusher.

4. I couldn't think of any strange gifts that I've received

I gave a gift to some friends that they considered weird at first: a one-gallon paint can that I chrome -plated for storage of their father’s ashes (he was a painter). Aghast at first, they came to appreciate the gesture. The can, with remains inside, now occupies a prominent spot on their mantle.

5. A brown padded toilet seat

From my brother. In his defense it did match the decor of our bathroom at the time.
That same year brother gave our cousin a pair of fur-lined leather gloves. Cousin lives in Southern California.

6. My folks bought me this ungodly red down type jacket with a thick layer of clear plastic type covering

I was working outside all day in a lumber yard driving a forklift. They thought it would keep me warm. It would have I’m sure but there was no way in hell I was going to wear it to work. I would have been ragged out by everyone else who worked there.
