My wife and I figured out what the famous New Jersey Drones are all about.

At the behest of AI, Santa has been fired and replaced by automation.

Besides, his home and workshop will be unlivable in a few years. Better to fire him now so he can get a job as a Walmart greeter.

That's the name of the vindictive efficiency expert in Fred Claus.
He was gleefully trying to shut the North Pole down.
It's my favorite Christmas movie fir the last few years.

Vince Vaughn plays Fred, Santa Claus' estranged brother. He's ne'er-do-well, always on to his next dodge.
He gets in trouble so his brother (played by Paul Giamatti) bails him out of jail under the condition that he come up to the North Pole to help out for the season.
There are multiple side stories involved to and several characters to which it's easy to become attached. Like their mom, or Wabda, Fred's girlfriend, or Willie, the head elf.
I found it available for streaming on Fandango for $2.99.
