If you're on shift work through the holidays, you know the struggle. Missed Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Year's, etc. One year I missed both and Thanksgiving. So to my fellow night riders, Happy Holidays, thank you for your service, and best wishes to you!

to be fair, if I wasn't scheduled I would volunteer to work so people with kids could have the holiday off

I'm not a night shifter, just a retired night owl; almost missed an important holiday/birthday due to a large, demanding project, but supervisor gave allowed me to take often Mondays off after wedding (and honeymoon.)
