The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI'm discontinuing the weirdness posts
and deleting the last few.
Hardly anyone reads them or replies. I put a lot of time and effort into them, but if they are consistently ignored - like everything else I post, why should I bother.
Also deleting the solstice meditation. It hurt a LOT that only one or two people seemed to like it.

(1,432 posts)Perhaps, many people are so bummed out regarding whats-going-down, they try to lay low for a short time.
Also, the Holidaze are over...

(63,293 posts)I am having some weirdness going on in my computer so I am not replying to much these days. I think DU posting is not meshing well with my VPN.
So Thanks and here is hoping you can somehow avoid the wrath of trump next year

(17,888 posts)Holidays and Weekends are notoriously slow on DU. Have some grace with yourself & your posts...you are appreciated, even if some of your posts slipped under the radar of folks.

(6,791 posts)I'm a bit oversensitive at this time. Caring for our 15 1/2 year old dog, who can no longer walk or stand. Changing her diapers and washing towels and trying not to cry about seeing her so helpless.

(13,647 posts)I also like the idea of a solstice meditation. Being non-religious I appreciate any human expression based on the awe one feels from understanding our planet and the cosmos as opposed to the usual religious rhetoric.
BTW, there are times in the day, the week or holidays when posts just drop off no matter what they are, outside of current news.

(3,110 posts)We cant control how things are received out here. Many of us throw things at the wall and they dont stick. That being said looking for gratification out here isnt easy. Better to pass out pb&j to the hungry in your neighborhood. 100% good feedback. Dont give up. Take care!😊

(6,791 posts)I was hoping to give the Lounge some laughs with the weirdness posts but maybe I've lost my touch.

(938 posts)I've felt that way before too. It's risky putting yourself out there on a forum that goes so far and wide. My beliefs and POV 's are often in the minority, but, that's okay. We still have something to say and sometimes people hear us. So, hang in there, we are all grieving right now.
I'm not commenting on much right now because I feel dead inside. ✌🏼 I'm hoping to recover. My guess is that we all are hoping to recover.

(70,625 posts)I've seen posts with only 3 or 4 replies but 30 or 40 recs. So, there are plenty of people liking the post even of they don't comment.
Also, on the far right of the forum (or group) page, there is a "Views" column. Gives you an idea of how many people actually saw the post.
I'm here a lot & I can honestly say I've not seen those posts. So, you must be posting when I'm not looking. Could happen with others.
Hang in there. It's worth the effort to be creative even without short term feedback.

(9,914 posts)I really wish you hadn't deleted them so I could check them out.
You should post what make you happy. Seriously.
I'm not a practicing Pagan or Wiccan but I always love when others who are share their wisdom and knowledge of rituals.
I'm always about positive energy and vibes.

(4,062 posts)I always looked forward to your 'weirdness.' They were odd, quizzical and funny AF! Never commented but always a rec. Try not to take the lacks of comments to heart, please think about the return of the weird.
