Today, my mailman was raving about the Sam Grisman project.

My mailman had just recently seen this group, and he's going to again next month.

Sam Grisman is on the upright bass. He is David Grisman's son.

I saw Sam's father perform maybe 10-15 years ago? It was one of the best shows I ever saw. Looks like his son Sam is carrying the torch now.

This is some really really good music here if you are interested. Music starts just after the 2:00 mark.

Jazz, swing, bluegrass, folk, folk-rock, dixieland .. all with a union card. Did a USO show in the Dominican Republic during the civil war there in 1966.

I love the sound of Grisman's band. Reminds me of the Steep Canyon Rangers from my neck of the woods. Man, I envy this new breed of cats!
