(6,098 posts)Instead of turning the clocks forward an hour, we turn them back 23 hours and get almost a whole extra Saturday. In the fall, will turn them back 25 hours. Two 3-day weekends! Who's with me?

(254,277 posts)And the sponsors of that bill stuck in my mind, the odd combination of Senators Whitehouse and Rubio. But it never went to the House, I have no idea why. I told others about it at the time, but nothing ever came of it...

For reasons I don't understand, people hated it.
So, they overwrote the law to back to the time change twice a year.
Probably why a new proposal won't gain much traction.
