Progressive candidate

Hi - I haven’t posted in this group before, but glad you’re here.

I wanted to bring attention to a Super Tuesday primary in TX that I was just reading about.
TX-28 is in the hands of a conservative Dem who votes with trump ~70% of the time. He is backed by Koch money as well as the Chamber of Commerce. TX-28 is apparently a safe blue district.

He’s being challenged by young Latina immigration/human rights lawyer Jessica Cisneros, who is endorsed by Working Families Party, SEIU, TX AFL-CIO (apparently rare), NARAL, Planned Parenthood, League ofConservation Voters, Emily’s List, AOC, Sanders & Warren.

Here’s an article about her https://prospect.org/politics/battle-democratic-party-runs-through-south-texas/ The article suggests this is an important race nationally, something of a referendum on the progressive wing of the Dem party. Nancy Pelosi is also supporting the Koch-backed incumbent, which gives you an idea of what’s happening.

Posting here in the hope that some might want to send the info around to folks who might be interested in helping her, and hadn’t heard about the race. Or maybe everyone here knows about it already?!
