TCM Schedule for Thurs, Nov 28, 2024 - Astaire & Rogers/Family Comedies

Last edited Sat Nov 23, 2024, 08:42 AM - Edit history (1)

Seven of the nine Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers pairings highlight TCM's Thanksgiving Day schedule.

Missing are Roberta from 1935, their third pairing, and Follow The Fleet from 1936, their fifth. But we'll still see the film that brought them together in Flying Down to Rio, the delightful The Gay Divorcee, their best all-around film Top Hat, and the show-stopping productions of Swing Time, including the "Never Gonna Dance" number that left Rogers with bleeding feet.

Add in the family comedies airing prime time, and this is a great option to a day football -- and an escape into a simpler past.
