The absolutely amazing Nigel Kennedy and his brilliant performance of Vivaldi's The New Four Seasons. Highly recommend—pure magic!

The age was marked by improvisation, and this is true enough to the original and full of energy and wit.

I imagine that Vivaldi “Il Prete Rosso” would have enjoyed it.

I used to listen on the ratio to a guy named “DeKoven” who played “barococo” music with great enthusiasm, and I can’t listen to Vivalidi without hearing his cheer “VIVA VIVALDI”

As a keyboard freak, I can’t get over all those string players making their own notes and playing without looking. (Well, Kennedy did at times) I downloaded the keyboard version of this concerto and flipped the Yamaha to “harpsichord” and had a blast with it.

I just upgraded from an old Roland to a Clavinova and the voice is new to me, and it’s wonderful to revisit all these early works. And that includes an organ voice, so all the neglected Bach won’t be neglected any more. Some pieces are so much better on harpsichord and organ.

I also love keyboard instruments. I highly recommend Keith Jarrett's Hymns Spheres. The recording was made in 1976 at the Basilica of the Benedictine Abbey in Ottobeuren, where he plays the pipe organ. Absolutely amazing!
