Origami, anyone? For a good cause (elephants)?
Wildlife Conservation Society is trying to beat a Guinness Record - and raise awareness for elephants and the horrid ivory trade.

*** There are no distressing photos at link *** ( I hate clickbait with awful photos - this link is just to the how-to page to fold the origami elephants )
Please post this on your Facebook pages or share with friends. Or just keep this kicked for a bit.
You've been one of our strongest elephant advocates. That's why today I'm reaching out with a unique (and pretty darn fun, in my opinion) request to go the extra mile to save elephants: fold an origami elephant (or two or five!) and mail it to us.
The current Guinness World Records title for display of origami is 33,764. We're trying to break the record by gathering 35,000 origami elephants the number of African elephants killed for their tusks each year to raise awareness and put more pressure on world leaders to stop this horrific poaching crisis.
That's where you, your folding skills, and hopefully some of your friends come in.
There are three simple steps to being a part of a world record:
Visit 96elephants.org/origami to download templates. There are also instructional videos to help you get started.
Fold! Some of the elephant patterns are easy, some are a little more challenging but they all count toward the record! There's no limit to the number you can send, so gather some friends and keep folding until the paper runs out.
Mail your elephants to us and include your name, address, and the total number of origami in your batch.
The deadline when all your origami elephants need to be at our offices is September 16, 2016, so get folding if you want to be a part of this history-making moment for elephants!
I'm looking forward to seeing your creations.
Thanks for all that you do for elephants and happy folding!
