I had been a Fleetwood Mac fan really since "Rumors". I was about 13 when it was released. Of course I wore out several copies of Rumors. Brilliant album.

Some time after that I had an uncle turn me on to the pre Nick's 1972 album "Bare Trees". Even though I had heard some of those tracks, It wasn't until then that I tied in that Joe Walsh had been part of the band.

It wasn't until I was in my late forties that I discovered a Peter Green anthology in a Portland record shop.

I had no idea! It really rounded out my education!

I didn't really know who Green was. I didn't know about the John Mayall connection. I really had to sit myself down and listen to that anthology. It really opened a new door to my understanding of the band. That anthology introduced me to Peter Green.

And to think, for more than thirty years, I had called myself a fan. Only then did I realize that I really knew nothing.

This really is a great performance.
