MASSIVE Trigger Alert: RAYE - Ice Cream Man.

Last edited Tue Nov 26, 2024, 05:59 PM - Edit history (1)

I'm late to the show, having just found Raye last week, so I apologize if this has been previously posted. Raye has gone through far too many hells and emerged as a true force of nature. Her work is on the cusp of becoming epic.

This totally broke me:

Devastating. (The lyrics are in the description under the video (for others who may want to listen)).

The first time I heard of Raye was when she was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. I wasn't really paying attention but as soon as i heard her voice i was.... who is this? Wow this is different, jazzy, and the band too, just sounded so... different. She seems to be better known in Britain and has won many well deserved awards.

Here was my thread from that night. This was live!! Amazing. Anyway my post got zero recs and zero replies.... oh well.

I wish that everyone would hear it including, and especially, the ogres that "inspired" it.

Thanks for the link to your post. I've devoured everything I could find of RAYE's - she's really rather spectacular. This woman is gonna make some serious waves both overseas and here.

A DUer might miss it in the swirl of events. And it's nice to hear a tune again.
