Too bad because when Marty and Paul would seriously sit down and write with each other they produced some terrific songs. The drumming of Spencer Dryden was underappreciated by many who expected drummers to be more "busy" but Spencer was a jazz cat sort and he understood how to shape and support as opposed to just being very obvious, repetitive and end up being overly forward in the sound mix when playing.
