A day in my life. I was singing If You Dont Know Me By Now and my black neighbors could hear me through the window and told my daughter " Christ your mother sure has soul. And my daughter asked what? They said they heard me singing and man your mom has soul when my daughter told me that I said I guess it is new to them to hear a little Italian woman sing with soul.

2. When I was a teenager, I used to fall asleep to the radio.

I can remember several occasions when I awoke in the middle of the night to hear this song playing. It was so mellow and dreamy, it made me feel like I was still asleep and imagining it.

Maybe subconsciencely you heard the song and understood.. The reason why nothing had the chance to be good was that they were two completely different people starting from the life they had in their own family.
