This was my favorite Stevie Wonder album.
Superstition used to be my go-to karaoke song, because it has every vocal trick in the book.
Loved singing it.
Can't do it like I used to!

The wine bar by my house has karaoke tonight.
I'm not going, but it's weird this came up & there IS karaoke 8 blocks from my house.
I don't really care for karaoke. Mainly because I like playing while singing. Then, if I'm just singing, I want the mic on a stand & work the stand.
My wife & her friend used to like it, and I'd get sucked in as the designated driver.
They knew I didn't want to sing, but if the put me in for this song, I couldn't pass it up
It's probably not a got-to. It's probably the only karaoke tine I've done.

Could make that your Superstition karaoke tradition. Eight blocks you could walk or Uber so you would be able to drink. Anyway I'm sure you've seen this but it gives an homage to Friday the 13th.

5. I Like That Version

I also like the version done by Beck, Bogart, & Appice.
But, the funkiness of Stevie's version is still IT for me.
Also; hard pass on the new tradition. Not my thing,
I even bought a cheap karaoke system, hooked it up to a 4 cabinet practice PA, used pro miles, & a 32" monitor for the lyrics. Did it for my wife. I barely used it, and I didn't have to even leave my house! But, my wife & her friends dug it for quite a while.
She transformed that room back into a guest bedroom so, the stuff is all stacked in the garage now.

I had a bit over 2,000 gigs in my band days.
My club days are over.
I go to the local small venues to support the performers. One beer or glass of wine, throw a few bucks in the tip jar and leave after a half-hour.
I do go to open mic nights in town, as long as they start early!

I won't finish the verse and the Stones had no idea when they wrote it, what a drag it is... though I can't complain, I'm still healthy and agile. A perk where I live, they now play Saturday Night Live live so it starts at 8:30. It also has one of the best bands in the land and always has

Stevie doesn't come to mind for me either, but I always play too shy to say from the full feelingness first finale album on what would have been my anniversary, now divorced so the algorithm on YouTube suggests Stevie

If you spend a day playing only music you love, the algorithm improves
