In CIC on the destroyer. We sang it every watch shift.
Helped keep us awake on 12 hour Starboard Shift.
That and syrp thick nasty coffee.

Made it easier to go down the ladder well from CIC to mess hall. Then climb the ladder well back up with 6 coffee cups full to the crew mates. It would never spill being that thick.
Now retired, I am a coffee snob, I grind fresh beans every morning. No ladders to climb.
