Goodies from my music app 2024 Recap

I have a bad habit of playing a song to death for a few weeks and then not listening to it again for months or, in some cases, years. The Recap highlighted a few of these:

To be fair, I play the hell out of the Legalize It album every few years. Then it disappears again. When it comes back, it’s like rediscovering a old, long lost, best friend. This year (late spring, to be exact) was an ‘On’ year for it

We played their first two albums to death back when I was in college. They are playing here in the spring and I’m thinking of going. Maybe. Haven’t seen them in many years, but they were always excellent live. Plus, Jelly Joseph is singing and she is amazing. I just don’t have any people left who like the same music as I do, and going solo to a handful of shows these past few years hasn’t been as much fun as it was going with a buddy. And I’m now actually cognizant of the potential safety issues of being a woman out in the city at night by herself. Ugh. Perhaps older and wiser, and definitely less naive?

That was pre-covid. Covid just sealed the deal for her.

I'm a jam band guy and finding someone to go is impossible.

It’s a separate app, and it’s also free with ads. It’s $15 a month for no ads. I paid for about a year, but now I just deal with the ads. They can usually be skipped pretty quickly. You can make playlists on there, which is great. I’ve got over a thousand songs saved in playlists but have never figured out how to rearrange them within a playlist. Other than that issue, highly recommend!
