Such a great song, takes me back to college in an instant. My studio was right above a largely unused pool at the apartments I lived at (there were a bunch of pools and this wasn't a main one). I'd put this album on the turntable, open the windows of my studio, crank it up, and go lay out in the sun after class, usually alone at the pool, or close to it. Thinking to myself, man, everyone else is missing out. This album is a MOMENT in music. Time has show that to be true 
I was also huge into The Waterboys right then, so I'll see your Stone Roses and raise ya a little Mike Scott & Karl Wallinger
If you MADE me pick my favorite song of all time, I might have to pick this one. Not kidding.
And if you made me pick my favorite cover of all time ... same thing
