(153,130 posts)3. It does look like quiche, but it's not. It's a cheeseburger pie.
I wish I could share it!

I'm pleased that you enjoyed the photo.
Later on I'll post the recipe. Maybe that will help.

(153,130 posts)9. HERE'S THE RECIPE:
Cheeseburger Pie / Oven 425 degrees F
1 pound ground beef
½ teaspoon ground oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
½ cup dry bread crumbs
1 can (8 ozs.) Tomato sauce
1/4 cup chopped onion (I use dry onion flakes)
Cheese Topping
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup milk
½ teaspoon each dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (I buy the already shredded cheese.)
Cook and stir ground beef in skillet till brown. Drain fat. Stir in oregano, crumbs, tomato sauce, and the onion and the ground pepper.
Pour into the already prepared pie crust shell. If youre using a commercially made shell in an aluminum pan, be sure to place the empty shell on a baking sheet first! The aluminum is a little bit flimsy when filled. And the cookie sheet can catch any possible spills during baking. I just feel a bit safer using this combo.
Bake about 30 minutes.
And enjoy!
