Dolomites

Finally getting back to some picture posting. These are from Summer in the Dolomites. There was a good storm the day before we showed up. This was around Sept 12th/13th. Brrr.



As high as I went without gear.

Friends got a place there for 6 days. We expected warmer weather. We'll be back.

They are all wonderful, but my favorite is the vertical shot, showing the trees framing the very vertical mountain! Love the way the snow reveals the details.

I like to find verticle shots in nature because so much lends itself to horizontal.

Those are some of the pointiest, most jagged looking mountains I've ever seen. Fascinating to look at. Love all the others, too.

That crow is so puffed up, it looks like a ball of feathers. Maked me cold just to look at it.

This was our first time in the valley to see them. The other time was from a mountain area to the west. They are pretty impressive
