(51 posts)So...you are actually superman...and I can almost see you sailing alongside these aircraft deftly holding an expensive one-of-a-kind custom-made camera, while checking the viewfinder for that perfect shot. This one, for example.

You spent all your spare cash on a hot air balloon to use as a perch near an airport and you were therefore forced to use your older second-hand Android phone (camera) of dubious provenance.
Either way, these images are simply spectacular. Thank you for your most fine efforts.

(10,606 posts)almost nailed me! Spent all my spare cash on increasingly fine camera and lens. I have become obsessed with the effects achieved with longer and longer lenses to capture what would otherwise not be possible. I have now reached the point where atmospheric conditions affect the outcome, primarily heat distortion at distance. Coupled with the fact that in many instances, airplanes come to me and all I have to do is watch my radar (adsb), makes them an easy and fun subject.
Stormy weather is the best for altered flight paths with flights being diverted from other airports for more variety of carriers and more interesting backgrounds. Today's background is totally dull, it had already started raining to the west, so it's all a dull washout. Pre-rain stormy is much preferred.

(51 posts)Perhaps as much as your exacting photographic efforts
I wish you "stormy weather" and eagerly await your next captures
