Related: About this forumI started watching Manifest last week and it was just cancelled.
Is it worth finishing? I'm most of the way through season one, but here that season three ends with a huge cliffhanger.
This is why I almost never start watching network shows anymore!

There were flaws in terms of it being predictable and there were other things I would critique but all in all it was entertaining. I was sad that Netflix only had two seasons...theres a season 3?

(25,961 posts)I've watched Manifest from its beginning and am/was hooked. I don't know how these networks make decisions cancelling such programs - but I'm not going to get taken in again by them.
I will not watch any of their new scifi programs in the future because somebody at the network always gets a bug up their behind and they don't allow their loyal viewers to get closure.
We will never know why these people and plane came back or what would ultimately happen to them because they will not allow us a series finale.
I've had it with the networks.
They might as well not offer any new programming in the future - because I for one won't even get started with any new programs.
I will not invest any more time in any new program offerings.
They should just stick to running I Love Lucy and the Dick Van Dyke shows.

(11,462 posts)I was a huge fan of Lost, Alias, Fringe and a few others that ended on their own terms (although say what you will about how they ended).
Since then, I've gotten burned investing my time a graveyard if sci-fi shows that never had a chance to finish - Flashforward, Terra Nova, Alcatraz, just to name a few.
From now on, if it isn't on Netflix, Prime, or Hulu, I'm not wasting my time anymore. It's crazy how networks just pull the plug on these shows without any closure whatsoever.

(33,643 posts)Maybe not as much but they also don't have as many shows. Bottom-line, it's not only a network thing. The NF show 'The Get Down' only lasted 1 season, for example.
If enough people were watching to justify the budget and turn a profit, it wouldn't be cancelled.
Why don't you blame 'other people not liking the same shows I do'?
BTW I started watching S1 on Netflix but couldn't get through it, made it to like episode 8 or so before I lost interest ... it kinda got too hokey for my tastes. Plus the 'evil MIC experiments' storyline is kinda tired at this point so a show based on it for me has to be more special than this one was.

Shows that make you think or get your creative juices flowing - get cancelled.
One show that should be cancelled is - Debris. That show never made any sense from the start and every episode just got more and more sillier.
How a show like Debris can make it and a show like Manifest be cancelled is beyond me.

(17,726 posts)They seem to be more mini-series. Clear beginning, middle, and an actual ending.

(28,394 posts)Geez. They couldnt even tie up the cliffhanger(s)? I watched all three seasons and season 3 was the best in terms of moving the plot along. Bummer!!!
