Related: About this forumOne last day in the triple digits before temperatures begin to "cool" down...
It will be another very hot afternoon for this time in September as temperatures climb back into the triple digits. Record highs could be tied and possibly broken across parts of Southeastern Arizona with highs climbing to around 103°/104° for the hottest spots. Remember to limit time outside and stay hydrated!
As we head towards the end of the work week, temperatures will begin to fall back into the 90s for the warmest spots. By the weekend, a system passing by to the north will bring gusty wind and cooler temperatures with highs dropping into the upper 80s by Sunday!
Temperatures will drop into the upper 80s starting Sunday afternoon and that will last through at least next Tuesday!
We'll also wake up to temperatures in the 40s and 50s! This will be the first morning below 60 degrees in Tucson since May 12th..

(4,949 posts)1. My dog, a St Bernard cross
insists on flopping out on the hot gravel, in the sun. I make her come in after 5 minutes tops. I remind her that heat kills brain cells. We have a covered patio AND a huge ash tree that provides lovely shade. She also has one of those raised dog beds that provides support and airflow underneath. She prefers hot gravel.
Maybe she's part lizard.
edited cuz my spell check is an idiot that adds letters sometimes.
