Gwen Walz to campaign for Kamala Harris campaign in Arizona. Here's what to know
Gwen Walz, the wife of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will hit the presidential campaign trail in Arizona Monday for the first time.
Walz will stump for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz in Phoenix, Flagstaff and Kingman, according to the Arizona Harris-Walz team.
“First Lady Walz will barnstorm the Grand Canyon State as part of the campaign’s efforts to mobilize support, drive enthusiasm, and reach the voters who will decide this election as we approach the closing weeks of the campaign,” the Harris-Walz campaign said in a written statement.
Walz plans to contrast Democrats’ vision for the country with that of former President Donald Trump. She’ll pay particular attention to issues like abortion, taxes and Project 2025, the conservative Heritage Foundation’s sweeping policy proposal that Trump has disavowed.
