everybody texts and calls when there is a fire within 20 miles of me, but nobody told me about this!

my nephew lives a ways up Pomerene ( after it turns into Cascabel road ). Another relative is the sheriffs deputy there ( but this was highway patrol )

exit to/from I-10. Probably not accurate as TV graphics people don't spend a lot of time on such things.

Didn't sound quite like fireworks, and even scared the cats (they do mostly okay with fireworks). Guns are so ubiquitous, no one says anything anymore, I guess, Kali!

unless there was another wreck, the westbound lane was backed up more than 12 hours. I mean they were letting some go because it never was more than about 3 miles back but...wow!
