The prosecuting attorney would never dream of charging the county jailers. I'm not terribly optimistic about the civil case in northwest Arkansas.

Next thing he knows, his teenage kid in jail - full of bumps and bruises - and no one knows why.

I grew up in Mississippi, and some of my fondest memories are of visiting the Ozarks - especially Eureka Springs, the lake country and Hot Springs.

Second only to N'Awlins as my favorite, I'd say.

And guess who was Governor...

There are many good people here. We're just outnumbered - by a lot - by the Bubbas.

Arkansas is home. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

Appealing - and reasonably priced too. Unlike so many other states these days.

I do also miss Orange County, CA, I can tell you - but man...

How is possible for this to even happen? This is a privately run jail, correct? I hope he has family and that the state gets sued. Even then there is nothing that can make up for what this man went through.

12. Nope. This was the Sebastian County Jail.

The "health care provider" was a private company but it was county employees that let the man starve.

The county sheriff's personnel will be shielded by qualified immunity.

This jail needs to be investigated and changes made.

Like the really necessary Executive Order to Prohibit Indoctrination and Critical Race Theory in Schools!

disabled? What the hell is wrong with the police and prosecutor? Who collected his SSI or SSDI while he was in prison?
