The American modeling system gives a 60-90 percent chance of at least 3" of snow from south to north across the DC area

Sunday night and Monday.

There may be parts of the area that get 6-10"!
Be sure to check out our detailed briefing on the storm if you haven't already.

and planning to stay home! Daughter coming soon, and I hope she and the kids plan to stay @ their house thereafter!

I'm in southern MD so likely won't get much, but who knows??? Few years ago, got a LOT, so daughter persuaded cops/sheriffs to 'rescue' me, 'cause I had no heat! Stayed her warm(er) house til the next day.

I strongly recommend not driving during snow here. Even if you're experienced, lots of other drivers are complete idiots. Plenty of folks decide to go with summer tires year round. The snow here tends to be wet, sticky, and then icy.

Buses are bad too. Metro is your best bet if you have to go into DC.
