Newcomers (?) win two Archer commission seats in close election

ARCHER, Fla. (WCJB) - Two newcomers will join the Archer City Commission after municipal elections Tuesday night, with one race decided by just nine votes.

Jennifer Rossi defeated incumbent Kathy Penny 70 to 61 in the race for Seat 5. Officials said there are no provisional ballots left, making Rossi the official winner.

In a statement, Rossi said she is honored to have earned the community’s trust, calling the win “a step forward for the entire community.” She said she is committed to listening and working with residents to move Archer forward.

Bill Lewandowski was elected unopposed to Seat 4.
