hurricane diary - the queasy feelings you get when disaster may be imminent...

the weird feeling u get when a natural disaster gives you a few days warning: is it really happening, how bad will it really get, maybe it will make a sharp turn away, if it is predicted to "weaken" and be nasty instead of neighborhood flattening is that any better. and time seems to go...slower

prediction seems to be when the blow gets near honolulu it will only be a high level tropical storm instead of hurricane. with 10 -20 inches of rain sheesh

btw some stores have been stripped of water etc and some not. odd how that happens

I was staring down the barrel of Andrew when it made a sharp turn south the last moment in '92. Last summer we were told Irma would hit us as at least a 4 and in the end I only lost landscaping.

You never know.
