I have spent much time over the decades in Maui and I keep thinking of all the people, animals and plants and the losses.
I know there has been so many things all over the planet in recent years between pandemic, war, fires, floods, earthquakes and more
But somehow this just hit me hard - like the cumulative effect and the symbolism and sign of where we all are.

I lived on Oahu and the Big Island for 26 years, but also went to Maui many times for work. This is just a monumental tragedy.
