Louisville Metro Council members consider buffer zone outside Kentucky's last abortion clinic

Anne Ahola runs the state's last operating abortion clinic, and she says what goes on outside the downtown Louisville site is a circus.

A handful of protesters are at the EMW Women's Surgical Center daily, but protesters ratchet up their efforts on weekends, with dozens sometimes stalking the sidewalk with large, graphic posters and broadcasting messages of eternal damnation over their bullhorns and portable speakers.

Some politely offer the women walking into the clinic adoption alternatives while others accost them as murderers.

On May 13, Louisville police arrested 10 demonstrators who were locked arm in arm, blocking the entrance to the clinic.
