This summer's weather in Central Maine.

It's been a very good summer, weather-wise. Lots of overcast days with lots of moisture/rain, with blocks of hot weather (but not too bad) in between. Past mid July and the grass is still growing like crazy. I think the next cut will be the 8th of the season. Air quality has been great....have not had any of the Canadian smoke issues that have affected a lot of the country.

I really like living here....

It's been really mild with plenty of rain, almost but not too much, it's still pretty green around here. Temps have been less than those of the past several summers but still kind of warm. We haven't had much smoke from fires, a little this past week and earlier this year but we don't have anything close to the fire season we've become used to, that's all going on up in Canada this year.

I still haven't written off moving that way, just enjoying what's left of what's good here before I jump.

How's Skipper doing? (That is his name isn't it?)

When does the grass usually stop growing??

Hard for me to wrap my head around that here in NC, where we have to mow well into October.

as the heat builds and moisture decreases. But, at this rate, I'll be cutting every week into August, I think. Sept/October are light growing times.
