DNC to invest nearly $100,000 in Missouri Democratic Party
The Missouri Democratic Party is getting a national boost in its uphill battles to win statewide elections, break the Republican legislative supermajority and enshrine abortion rights in Missouri’s constitution.
The Democratic National Committee announced today that it will be giving the Missouri Democratic Party almost $100,000 to boost local organizing for its candidates and the abortion referendum.
According to a news release provided to the Missouri News Network, the move is part of a nationwide push by the DNC to invest in every state and territory. Overall, the DNC is giving $2.5 million to boost Democratic candidates.
“The investment we’re announcing today in the Missouri Democratic Party shows these priorities in action,” DNC Chair Jaime Harrison said in the news release.
