Related: About this forumNYC question: Is the Empire State Bldg lit up with all red lights?
It is in the background on MSNBC and I was wondering if this is accurate or not. I have never seen it all red before (what is it supposed to represent?).

(52,561 posts)I just googled it and it said that it is white tonight for the Summer Solstice. I don't know why MSNBC has a different color. This was interesting...
"Everything changed in 2012, when ownership installed a new computer driven LED light system. The system is capable of displaying 16 million colors, which can change instantaneously."

(52,561 posts)occasion, or whoever has the money to pay for the lights on a particular night. Example: Blue and Red for the new Super Man movie(?!?). I think they should be saved for special occasions to make it more "special" and not just another color every other day.
