I voted for Nina Turner today!

I went in to the Board of Elections around 10:30a.m. and there was only one other person there. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Voted a straight Dem ticket.

I really like Tina Turner too. I'd vote for her if she was running for something in Ohio.

Unfortunately, I agree with Senator Sherrod Brown's assessment that the Ohio Gubernatorial race is going to be a loss for the Democrats, I have faith that Democrats will show up and moderates will show up to help Democrats take back the SOS's Office, The Treasurer's Office, & The Attorney General's Office. While I am not sure how Fitzgerald became the our party's nominee, from the very start it was found out the Ed Fitzgerald's, whom I do have alot of respect for, pick for Lt Governor had alot of skeletons in his closet and if I remember correctly had not paid taxes in over 10 years...After this incident he was taken off of the ticket and replaced with a very respected statewide Democrat Sharon Neuhardt, who would have probably been a better candidate for Governor than Fitzgerald seeing as the way his campaign is and has been run....

I will give credit to Ed Fitzgerald though, it seems no one else wanted to step up and he was the eventual nominee. Also I find it hard to fault the national Democratic Party for the failures in this race because my Dad and I donated over $200 to attend a fundraiser in which President Bill Clinton was the keynote speaker back in June, oddly enough though Hillary Clinton was at the event in secret, I happened to be walking to my car and saw her getting off of the bus, I went over and got a picture with her, yet she asked that it not be mentioned she was at the event, and sure enough no one knew about it, and if I hadn't caught a glimpse of her and yelled Secretary Clinton can I please get a picture, IDK if anyone attending would have known about it....Yet there was a group there named Ready For Hillary! and they were giving out signs, bumper stickers etc....

The best person that the Democratic Party of Ohio could have nominated to beat Kasich in my opinion is Former Governor Ted Strickland who had great approval ratings across the state and party lines until he was defeated in his bid for re-election during the 2010 Ohio Gubernatorial elections which was a very close race...

I am now more vested in the Ohio Secretary of State's race, as well as the Ohio Attorney General's election in which we have a better chance of winning than the Governor's race...

Its unfortunate but I do look forward to a shakeup in the ODP leadership pending the results of the 2014 election...

My 2nd choice for the Ohio Democratic Party's nominee for Governor would have been Mayor Mike Coleman of Columbus who ran and was defeated by Ted Strickland in the 2006 Dem Primary, yet still a very promising candidate for Ohio and for the Democratic Party. Unfortunately Gov Strickland chose Lee Fisher as his running mate, who in 2010, backed out of running for re-election with Gov Strickland to run for US Senate.
