Here's how Dems lose - My two daughters didn't vote today, despite

my sending a GOTV email yesterday, to which one replied asking who I recommended.
The other daughter arrived at her polling place at 7:33p.m. - Ohio polls close at 7:3p.m.

Am I disappointed in them? -You bet I am. They're middle-aged women, living on their own, and needing the support a well-run government brings to all Americans.

No point in crying over spilt milk, but this Mom is not happy tonight.

One is on a house-and-dog-sitting job about 10 miles away and didn't come in to her house today, apparently. I believe she intended to vote as of Monday, but didn't make it happen Tuesday.

The other is rather disorganized and didn't get her act together to get to the poll on time.

Bottom line, voting is evidently not as important to them as it is to their Mom.

I think the fact that all major newspapers in Ohio are Rethuglicans controlled, along with the TV,it is all pretty hopeless! There was no way to inspire voters to make the effort. The media spent the last two weeks telling us that it was decided already and that there was no real need to bother voting!

My god, this State could not be in more of a mess. Fighting the desperation back here.

that seems to be the most convenient, and they might find that more appealing.

....several years ago we had a young Democratic SOS who deemed our voting machines easily hackable. She then left in the middle of her term to run unsuccessfully for yet another office. She never fixed the machine issue. Bonus, we got a rethug SOS!

If you vote by mail or early you use a paper ballot. If you vote on Election Day the only paper
ballot is provisional! Go figure?

The rethugs fought until two weeks before Election Day to limit early voting. These are the things we will have for2016!

Of course, one has to first request the ballot, then fill it out and return by the end of election day.

I prefer to vote absentee, as I can see the ballot choices and research them to make the best choices, on my own time schedule. Even during the wee hours if I wish.
Plus, it's then over and finished, and one doesn't have to be concerned with weather, illness, other appointments, or unexpected life events.
