'Terrorist' case dismissed against OU dining-hall cook
An Ohio University dining-hall employee arrested last week for allegedly making terrorist threats had his case dismissed in Athens County Municipal Court Monday for lack of probable cause.
Curtis S. Embrey, 38, of Rutland in Meigs County, was arrested on a third-degree felony charge of making terrorist threats, the OU Police Department announced in a statement posted to Twitter on Nov. 6.
The OUPD said that shortly before noon that day, officers from the department responded to a report that an employee of the South Green’s Nelson Dining Hall had threatened to “take down” himself and other employees of the dining hall.
The police identified the employee as Embrey, who they said was scheduled to report to work at 2 p.m., and who was arrested in a parking garage near Nelson at 1:35 p.m. without incident after police obtained an arrest warrant.
