Related: About this forumExpelled Tennessee lawmaker Justin Jones: I was voted out for being 'an uppity Negro'
I first heard Michael Steele make this comparison last night and I agree with former Chairman Steele's analysis. Race played a role in determining which of the Tennessee three were expelled

Tennessee state Rep. Justin Jones (D-Nashville) said his race played a role in his expulsion from the state House on Thursday.
I basically had a member call me an uppity Negro, Jones, who is Black, told MSNBCs Joy Reid after the 72-25 vote that expelled him.

from Michael Steele is that he helped us get to this point being the RNC chair for years.
It just seems more like a redemption tour for Steele with his current punditry.
I whole heartedly agree with this sentiment though. This was straight up racism that cause this result.
