Vice President Kamala Harris holds a six-point edge over former president Donald Trump among likely voters in Virginia, according to a Washington Post-Schar School poll, similar to her eight-point lead in September. The poll also finds Trump voters are far less willing than Harris voters to accept the election results if their candidate loses.

Harris leads Trump 49 percent to 43 percent in the presidential race, and with a 3.5-point margin of error their ranges of possible support overlap slightly. That is narrower than Harris’s 10-point advantage in a Washington Post average of recent high-quality polls.

Trump, with the support of Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R), has continued to assert that the state is “in play” this year, and plans to lead a rally outside Roanoke on Nov. 2. Though Harris’s advantage would suggest that a Trump win in the state is unlikely, her numbers show some potential weak spots.
