Dave Reichert's campaign finally breaks post-election silence, almost two weeks after Election Day, but doesn't concede

Vanquished Republican gubernatorial hopeful Dave Reichert’s campaign belatedly broke its lengthy post-election silence today, sending out a generic, grammar-challenged message of thanks attributed to Reichert via email that didn’t acknowledge Governor-elect Bob Ferguson or even concede that the campaign had ended in defeat.

The vaguely-worded email might just be the last communication that Reichert’s campaign sends, judging by the candidate’s behavior since Election Night.

It was evident then that Reichert had been defeated — Bob Ferguson was up and remains ahead in all of the state’s most populous counties — but Reichert couldn’t bring himself to admit he’d lost. Maybe that’s because he is not accustomed to losing, having won his previous campaigns for King County Sheriff and Congress.

Reichert opted not to deliver a concession speech at the Republicans’ election night gathering. It would have been smart to do so — he could have gotten it over with in short order in the presence of many appreciative friends and admirers.

He's only behind by a little more than 400,000 but there's always hope.

You just know tramp will offer him a job in his Nazi junta. REICHert already has the appropriate last name for being Director of tramp's immigration blitzkrieg task force .
