Here's how your Dane County election ballot gets printed

For the April 7 election, Dane County voters will use ballots printed by a new vendor and with a process that election officials say is quicker.

Dane County and the city of Madison last week unveiled the new process, operated by WPS Data Logistics, a subsidiary of the Madison-based health solutions company. The WPS facility is secure and its printing process is more automated, meaning ballots are being printed and delivered sooner, city and county officials said.

Reporters toured the WPS printing facility on Madison’s southeast side and observed some of the final ballots for April 7 being printed, cut and packaged to be shipped.
