http://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/embattled-alison-redford-resigns-as-premier-of-alberta-1.1737226I'm actually surprised, but I guess honestly I haven't been paying much attention. When the first guy spoke out and said that she was "not a nice lady", right away I thought that was such a sexist statement (my mom picked that up too, right away, it pissed both of us off). I hoped she would hang in there, but I guess not. Now there's a big opening for the Wildrose party. ugh. That is NOT going to be a good thing.
ETA when I say I hoped she would hang in there, it's ONLY because I don't want the Wildrose party to take advantage...obviously I'd prefer NDP to PC.

Reform Party/Cons vs PC.
Looks like the PC's have now been taken over by the Reform/Cons.
Now we have to throw supprt to the others(not the old PC, not the Con and not the Wild ones).
Starts now. by giving some monetary support.

(8,646 posts)I know a bunch of NDP supporters (I'm in Edmonton) but I have no real sense of numbers. I do know a lot of people are very worried about the Wildrose party, hence why Redford won last time (a lot of 'anybody but Danielle Smith' votes). Also, Alberta demographics are really shifting...a lot more urban votes, immigrants etc. So I think things will get better, but it'll still take some time - a lot of time if my FB feed is any indication.
